This post is to share some excel formulas that I use to create file and tab names on xlone scheduler created spreadsheets.
In this example I have a number of DRP reports that I run every hour via the DP. It only takes takes about 3 minutes to run all 6 reports. Each report generates its own xlone spreadsheet and each time the scheduler is run a new tab with the current time is added to the current days spreadsheet.
As the formula changes the file name daily a new spreadsheet is created for each day.
This gives me a snapshot of key account balances and document file status progressivly during a day.
In a recent DRP test I was able to use these files to determine the data recovery point of the recovery simulation.
